The Lead from Where You Are – Leadership Series is an innovative initiative aimed at increasing visibility and creating opportunities for nurses to lead within their professional settings.
It acknowledges the practical leadership skills that every nurse possesses and enables them to reach their full potential by providing structure, skill development, and the confidence needed to broaden their impact.
Aligned with the Australian College of Nursing’s (ACN) mission of Advancing Nursing, Shaping Health, the program aims to create equitable leadership pathways that reflect the full diversity of nursing practice.
Lead From Where You Are – Leadership Program for Enrolled Nurses
Join us for this intensive ‘live and online’ program, which includes access to The Leader’s Mindset Series 1 Foundation Course Module.
CPD Hours
Participants will earn 4 CPD hours upon completion of the online course, plus an additional 7.5 CPD hours for attending the live webinars.
Webinar 1: Awaken the leader within
Wednesday, 10 September 2025 (2pm-3:30pm)
Exploring values, strengths, and purpose through self-awareness to overcome limiting beliefs and build confident, authentic leadership.
Webinar 2: The value of mentoring and growth
Wednesday, 17 September 2025 (2pm - 3:30pm)
Understanding the value of mentoring for career growth and confidence, while learning to engage in mentoring relationships and reflect through shared stories and journaling.
Webinar 3: The fundamentals of leadership
Wednesday, 24 September 2025 (2pm - 3:30pm)
Developing emotional intelligence and self-regulation to lead effectively from any position through authentic influence and understanding diverse leadership styles.
Webinar 4: Creating positive workplaces
Wednesday, 1 October 2025 (2pm - 3:30pm)
Leading with empathy and respect to enhance psychologically safe teams, nurture a positive culture, and address behaviours constructively.
Webinar 5: Lead from where you are
Wednesday, 8 October 2025 (2pm - 3:30pm)
Learn from real-world stories of ENs leading change, recognising leadership impact at any level, and leaving a legacy through reflection and continued growth.
Eligibility criteria
All applicants seeking to participate in this program are required to meet the following selection criteria:
Professional registration
Must be registered as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
Commitment to growth
Demonstrates motivation to learn, reflect, and develop leadership skills.
Program engagement
Capable of completing all program work within the designated six-week period.
Program fees
This program is valued at $900. At this time, ACN is extending the offer to our members:
- ACN members: $750
- Non-members: $900
