In the context of mental health nursing, participating in an Emerging Nurse Leader (ENL) program can have several benefits. ENLP exposed me to different webinars, discussions, and opportunities which enhanced my leadership and management skills, including my clinical expertise. I expanded my networks and able to collaborate with other nurses/ENLs to conduct research, policy review, and development of clinical guidelines. I value the mentorship experience and opportunities given by Dr Stefanie Dosen and the engagement and camaraderie shared and experienced by ENLs. My advice to future ENLs: The opportunities that ENLP provides are overwhelming. Choose based on your expertise, practice, and interest. Do not overindulge and manage your time effectively amidst personal and professional demands. Have an ENL buddy in your local area to maximise opportunities and satisfy requirements easily (buddies help each other).
